2006 Schwinn The Sting Pro XL

A selected mix of old and new components brought together to produce the bike I felt Schwinn should have produced.

Frame: 2006 Schwinn Sting Pro XL
Fork: 90s NOS GT Cr-Mo
Stem: 90s NOS Schwinn XS
Bars: 90s Schwinn XS 4 piece Cr-Mo
Grips: 90s Schwinn Stinger
Lever: 90s Schwinn
Caliper: late 90s era, unsure of the brand.
Wheels: NOS Powerlite
Seat: 90s NOS Schwinn XS 2-piece
Seat post: cheap aluminum but has a great finish
Clamp: Schwinn XS
Cranks: Primo Powerbite 175mm polished
Pedals: Wellgo
Sprocket: DK Iron cross 33t
Chain: KMC Z nickle plated
Freewheel: DK 12t
Tires: Maxxis Holy Roller

Thanks! I switched to a chrome version of that handlebar just the other day. Looks a little more "finished". Unfortunately it'll never see a track as I don't live anywhere near one so it'll likely be used just to cruise around the neighbourhood 'til my kid is big enough to use it as his own.

I never was a schwinn fan but almost bought one of these back in 05 to race,just to be different.i had to come back and say very nice machine
