1985 Profile Prostyler
1985 Profile Prostyler
All OG finish parts for this one.
Last year while looking for another one of these after trading away my chrome one, I came across two. I missed out on this one on ebay, then worked out a deal for another on this site. Like a day or two after locking in the deal for my blue swirly one, I get a second chance ebay offer for this one with the forks too, lol. Just my luck, not that I'm complaining, I just didn't really need to buy two of them in a week. But with the offer there, I couldn't pass it up. With my other being totally custom and a nice new finish, I'm thinking all totally nice looking, re-finished if they may shiny parts for that one, but for this one in it's original green, nothing but OG awesomeness. All original finish, nothing but quality parts for this one. I came across these Vector freestyle bars in a green that just about matches it perfectly. I really don't remember Vector's coming in green, but you can tell from where the stem clamps on that these have never been mounted and that scratched up green paint has been on them a looooooong time. So I'm going with them. I had chrome Vector bars on my old Prostyler, and I think these bars go great with this frame. So with my extreme hate for Profile Prostyler freestyler bars (see my other Prostyler post for my rant on those), I was damn happy to find these.

This should be nice. I've got a off-the-wall freestyle bike that needed redone and I went with GT green. It looks great, pretty much like this one does, just fresh paint. I've been wanted one of these for a while. Good look with your build. Can't wait to see this done up (or your other one).

Re: 1985 Profile Prostyler
I'm pretty much just waiting for a small part to install the rear brakes and it should be done. I have a chrome Dia-Compe MX1000 waiting for it. I just switched out a new pic as the main pic in the first post. The other one's coming along too, just no wheels or cranks on it yet.

Re: 1985 Profile Prostyler
Got it finished. I'll be switching out the brake pads eventually, and if black over green A'me unitrons exist I'd like those, but I have never seen a set. I rode it today and it's awesome! It's freakin' huge and I love it. I actually laughed when I got these levers in the mail. I didn't think they'd be so big, but they fit well with the bike and my huge hands, so I wouldn't change them for anything after using them. Just a few things to go on my other one, and for now this one is done.

Re: 1985 Profile Prostyler
They are mountain bike ACS levers. They are huge!!!!, Lol!!! I really didn't think they would be as big as they are when seeing them online, but they do fit my giant hands nicely.
