Re: Seattle... we ready for a ride!?

Awesome story! In digging around on the net, I've found a pretty well documented incident of a 3rd party contractor doing some innappropriate clearing in there in support of an option to build a fire station there, and few vague reference to people trying to rebuild some jumps in there.  You know how people are about the areas on public land where they build jumps, it's kinda like fight club, the 1st rule is, you don't talk about it!

Speaking of building stuff, I've got permission from the wife to plan and build a pump track in my back yard.  I'm gonna try and score a truckload of dirt from the construction site down the street.  Between the weather and the speed I work at, it'll probably take the whole summer, if I'm lucky

Re: Seattle... we ready for a ride!?

I'm down at Alki for "Easter dinner", It looks to be a pretty friendly environment for a Meet and Greet / Cruise, but today may not be representative since it's Easter Sunday.

Is there a tentative day/evening planned at this point? I know Friday jump jam at Greenlake made the list. Of course Alki would be nice.

I'm in for Saturday, just need a time a place

The weather forecast on Tuesday almost always shows the weekend as sunny, i think the weatherman around here do that to help us make it through the 1st half of the week big_smile

Re: Seattle... we ready for a ride!?

Alki looks to have a good stretch of bike trail, and a awesome view of the Seattle skyline as a backdrop, but I'd have to defer to someone who visits there more frequently with regards to how crowded it might get on a Saturday.

1st to 5 would be on voting for location smile

Alki is in West Seattle, this link has some pictures that are pretty representative of what I saw
