1972 Rick's Bike Shop Special

The roots of BMX

72 or early 73. While all the early dinosaurs were riding modified Stingrays, Rick Twomey came out with a radical new design which changed BMX. A design that is still with us this day. The bike was raced by many of the icons of the sports such as Dave Clinton, John Palfreyman, Thom Lund and Doug Takahashi

The frame has been living at Rick Twomey's house for 35 years and he gave me the honor of restoring it to it's old glory

Wow Reilly, you have a literal Smithsonian! I never tire of seeing the classics that built this sport. Thanks for doing this bike and sharing.

You're lucky that you get to have the honor of restoring one of Rick's Bikes.
