1985 Mongoose Expert
1985 Mongoose Expert
My Mongoose Expert Rescue (SOLD)
I found this bike under a deck at a house I was working at. It looked like it had been there for a long time. I asked the owner if he wanted to sell it. He said I could have it for thirty bucks. I should of taken before pictures. It was a mess.
The bike cleaned up really nice. I don't think it was ever ridden. Just sat outside for 26yrs. Dropouts don't even have a mark. I couldn't save the chain, grips, seat, tires, pedals or brake pads. Everything else is original.
I also have the original bar pads, kick stand and chain guard.
I had kids because all my friends grew up and I had no one to play with anymore.

Re: 1985 Mongoose Expert
US$30 isn't a bad deal, although that home owner should have just said 'take it'. Nice work on the resto, look super clean.

Re: 1985 Mongoose Expert
Fantastic, and especially for $30!! I had to spend ten times that amount for a wreck, and at least that again to get it to where it is today!..... trouble is I am going to spend that amount again to get the whole thing re chromed. I am just lucky that I have an understanding wife and I really wanted an 83 Cali.
Is mourning the loss of my goose! But is now on the look out for a 1983 Supergoose 3 Frame and Forks!!!
