1980 Redline MXII

Survivor BMX bike

OK...I bought this frame and fork off a guy in used condition back in 1984. The frame/fork was very used up and most of the stickers were gone with just the outlines left. I built it up and used it for off road racing, stunts, delivering newspapers. I then spray painted it red put free style parts on it and forgot about it for 20 years until my recent resurgence in BMX. My friend helped me strip and repaint the frame, while I put together the parts from my collection along with some items I found on Ebay. It kind of reminds me of walking into The Better Bicycle Center in 1981 to buy a tire tube and seeing all these Redline MXII's And MXIII's lined up and realizing that my Huffy was never gonna be good enough from that day on.

Thanks,  I am a huge Redline fan as well as Diamondback.  But there is something about those fat tubes that really does it for me.

Thank you!  I love the Pirate type color combo.  I actually cannot believe that it is mine cos it's so cool to look at.

Hey Proline, I just saw your bike pics and realized that your MXII was a huge inspiration to getting mine done.  I photo copied your pics and studied them for sticker placement and research.  So cool.

That bike is perfect.  Very nice right down to the Comp II's.  Looks right out of the era.
