2006 Quamen Gamma

2006 Quamen Gamma

Quamen Gamma with brake mounts 2 of about 50 made.  It has a 74 degree head tube and an offset seat tube.

The Quamen Gamma was a special one time production. The top tube was dropped lower to allow foot clearance for jumping over/through and the seat tube was set back to give more room between bars and seat without adding to the wheelbase. It also has unique dropouts specific to the Gamma with a series of holes drilled in them. According to Quamen only two were made with brakes. (note: the third image is a  close up of the dropout.)  The Quamen headset called a "Lardset" is a set of CNC'ed aluminum cups that fit over the outside of the head tube (not inserted)  to convert the frame to accomodate an internal headset minus the top cover cap that is all part of the lardset package. You can notice the large silver cups in the left/right view photos.
In the 4th photo the Gamma is set up with a zero offset bar/stem combo from Sequence Bikes.

Re: 2006 Quamen Gamma

I have updated the Gamma with more "correct" handlebars.  Now this is complete with the Quamen Hiroya Morizaki signature bars.  7" rise and 0 degree sweep.

Have a thing about not damaging original paint but I am thinking of getting the bars powder coated black for a more consistant look.

Updated photo as it sits on 06-28-08.  I try to keep my bikes here in the Museum updated for rider's reference.
