1977 Diamondback MX
1977 Diamondback MX
Early Diamond back frame (prototype)
I got this frame in an auction and noticed it had strange brake bridge, euro bottom bracket, and slotted weld behind bottom bracket. Even the Gussets with the Diamond are inset slightly and the diamond cut out is smaller too. I just thought I would add this to the museum as an example of where the Diamond back came from and for members to compare the differences.

Well I am gonna research the model, and find the correct color paint and maybe find the type of parts that would have been proper for that year. I still need a double drop out DB fork for it. The best part about the frame is it is straight and has not one ding on it. Un believable for a 30 year old frame!

Re: 1977 Diamondback MX
I had one of those and the origianl color was blue just like you have it. It came with chrome forks and Araya 7B 's in plain aluminum. I bought mine used back in 1980 for $75.00 from the original owner who needed money for his dirt bike.I have a pic somewhere.
