1998 Dyno Compe
1998 Dyno Compe
1998 DYNO built with modern parts
Decided to build this one to ride. Bought a 1988 Dyno Detour as a replacement to restore. One interesting item on this bike is the 1 1/8" fork in the 1" type headtube. I used the stock GT cups, an FSA Mallet 1 1/8" headset, and 1/8" loose bearings (36 in each cup - 72 total). I also had to open-up the rear dropouts for the 14mm axle hub.
Here are the specs:
1998 GT Dyno Compe frame (original paint & decals)
Bulletproof chrome 1 1/8" CR-MO tapered chrome forks
FSA Mallet 1 1/8" headset
GT Piston 1 1/8" threadless stem - polished "Made in U.S.A"
Animal "Bob Scerbo" chrome 4-piece CR-MO handlebars
Primo alloy bar ends
Kink ALPHA "Antifreeze" grips
DiaCompe 883 polished brakes
DiaCompe Tech 77 polished levers with locks
Odyssey Gyro
Odyssey Slic front cable
Sinz brake shoes
Odyssey seatpost clamp
Dyno chrome "Drainpipe" seatpost
Active padded freestyle seat
Profile 180mm GDH chrome cranks with LHD Left arm
Redline sealed BB
Fit 25T front sprocket
Eastern "Antifreeze" PC pedals
Shadow Conspiracy chrome 1/2 link chain
Lizard Skins Chainstay guard (because chain slaps)
Sun Ringle RhinoLite rims
DK green spoke with black alloy nipples
Diamond Back alloy front hub
Fit 9T cassette rear hub
Odyssey Path 20 x 2.10 skinwall tires
Odyssey rim strips
