Re: How To Post Pictures On The Forums

Hey Guys,

Ok, I’ve been reading all the reasons why members don’t have bikes posted, and I noticed that so many of the reasons were simply because they don’t know how to resize pictures.

This is very easy, and doesn’t take much time.  I’m not going to bore you with what system I am running, or whatever…  it shouldn’t matter, every program should have a similar sequence of events.

I know there are a million different ways to do this, I'm just trying to make a very easy to follow guide.

Hopefully this will be really easy, and help many members out.

1.     Obviously, take a picture, and upload it to your computer
a.    Make sure you know where it is going, and how to find it (I have a folder on my desktop, that I save everything in to begin with, then I organize afterwards).
2.    Double click on the picture, to open it up.
3.    After you open it, regardless of what program it opens with..  There will be an “Edit Picture"  button.
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g192/morr5/one.jpg

4.     Another tab should open on the side, and now you would click “Resize"
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g192/morr5/Two.jpg

5.     Then you will be given a couple options, select where you can pick your size, and type in 800 x 600.  I realize that it could be different sizes than this, but I am trying to keep it as simple as possible.  4 pics at this size will never go over the limit.
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g192/morr5/Three.jpg

6.     Click “OK"  or whatever.
7.    Now, your picture is resized!!!
8.    Click “File" , in the top left, and then “Save as"
9.    A new window will pop up, you have to select destination (Pick your Desktop if that is easiest, or create a folder)
10.    Name your picture, and just make sure that it is in .jpg form (Usually this is default anyway)
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g192/morr5/four.jpg

Whammy!!  Done!!!

Do this to 4 pictures, and submit your bike by uploading these 4 pictures in the submit form.

To submit a bike is super easy, just fill in all the spaces…  if you don’t know the serial number, just put in some numbers, and submit.

Following these steps, I have NEVER been denied a submission…  take some decent pictures, not from your cell phone.

DONE!!!

Also got a Link for it here too:

Re: How To Post Pictures On The Forums

Very good stuff there..
You can put none, if you cant Read them want to list your serial numbers.
The numbers being required was back when an older mod was here, he is gone now'.

I agree, good pics and the bike is usually submitted quick..
first pic should be from the chainwheel side..

Ohh, and please try to list info correctly too..
Its Year, Company and then Model..

1979 Mongoose Supergoose, for instance..

Not MONGOOSE SUPERBAD 79..or the like..
Good pics and proper info will get the bike in quicker.

Re: How To Post Pictures On The Forums

if your using photobucket you don't need to use the [img] insert tab.  you just copy and paste the IMG code link under the photo on photobucket.
