comay sent me this link, i would be all over the chance to buy one of these stems, but i like the though of keeping the GT stamp OG looking and not going with the wing logo

How about a clamp like on the Eastern Deceptikon stem? It works well, and you don't have the exposed bolts at the rear of the stem. I ran one for over a year with no slipping issues. And on the off chance your stem twists to the side, you don't have to mess with your handlebar clamp to get everything loosened up to put it back in the correct position.

The only problem with that is it would impead on the side cutouts. Ive never ran a wedge type setup before, are there many issues with them? From what i gather, I'd spend more time tryin to make one work VS makin some that I know will work.

Look at the S&M redneck flt, odyssey elementary v3, i have a Zion and I believe the new odyssey Chad hawk stem is a wedge style
The deceptikon stem is really cool, especially if you could camouflage the side bolt

Stems are in the works but paint or powder wouldn't. That would be on whoever.

not sure just yet. as many as needed i guess. the one i've started on has been done manually. if its cost effective to get in a cnc production then labor, machine time, material, shipping....all come into play. I'm not out to gouge anyone on the price. I'll keep the thread updated.

the asking price was too much since they're only three that was made.. so hopefully yours will be in the $50-$60 range or less

kind of glad I asked now. I'd be happy to "test" a wedge prototype if you decide to trial some.
But would be perfectly happy with a steer tube bolt version too. Just keep the coin please
