1985 ELF Pro
1985 ELF Pro
I caught up with a guy who lives in the same town as me. I used to race against his son who at the time was factory sponsored by Elf. They were the importers of the frames and forks for Australia and he had a NOS Elf Pro (I think Pro - 18.5" TT). This frame and forks had some chrome damage when it arrived from the US so was never used to build a race bike. The serial number is stamped on the inside of the rear drop out and it is stamped vertically 128426. I'm thinking this is a Dec 84 built frame but in saying that I do not know anything about Elf serial numbers. As you can see the drop outs have never had a wheel in them. All I need now is to find some decals for it. He gave me an old Elf frame sticker as well which is different to the ones on the frame. If anyone knows what the frame sticker is from please LMK. I Love this hobby!!!!!
Admin note: 12-84 serial number = 1985 model

Re: 1985 ELF Pro
What you can't see is the major chrome peeling off the bottom bracket and down tube. It will need a re-chrome and will need some stickers.
