Wow! I remember those...I remember being embarrassed too ride the one I had..Wow.
Please don't take that as a insult. You have a great example of a bike there. I had mine over 20 years ago.
Stuck in 1995 and loving it.

The bikes were pretty common in Finland, in fact you still see these here from time to time. We used to caal them just "BMX 20". I had no idea of the manufacturer. Overall quality and components are definitely not the best ones around, but great looks and style! They also came in silver-burgundy color.

Re: 1982 Velamos
Yeah these were everywhere in Canada too , they were sold at the department store chain
Zellers in the 1970's - early 1980's . This particular model was very popular , it also came in wine red , all grey , a few other variations I think ... These were nice looking bikes , some parts
were well made (frame , handlebars, forks, tires, grips) but there are some really bad parts
on this bike as well (cranks, pedals.rims, hubs, stem) that prevent these particular bicycles from lasting very long , or actually doing BMX stunts/ridng with one of these ..
Nice bicycle tho , excellent condition , nice tires !!!!
