1975 Dan Gurney Monoshock Eagle

Rare survivor Mono shock.

This bike was a trade for my `77 Panda and got it from that 3rd owner who had it for along time.  2nd owner had backed over the bike with his car destroying the bars and forks.  Forks were replaced with NOS Ashtabulas and the bars were from a Motomag mongoose.  Has a stamped Ashtabula stem with og Hunt Wilde grips.  Seat is a `77 road bike seat with out a cover.  Rims are made by Morris.  Front tire is a og Carlisyle aggressor and the rear is a old Kenda, both 2.125.  Frame has og chrome finish.
This bike is a real tank.  But ya gotta love it though.

Will post more pix later of this bike.

Also have another Mono shock on the way that I just won off of E Bay. Will post pix soon when I get it.

Re: 1975 Dan Gurney Monoshock Eagle

My dad brought one of these home for me when I was 14 in 1975. I had front suspension forks too. I remember it was cool for awhile, but alas, the bottom bracket was way to high, and all your energy went into the suspension when you pedaled. I soon went back to my A&A.
