Very nice, and a true classic, though it looks to have some Viper parts on it.

If you need any assistance restoring I have a full standard spec sheet with pictures here

Re: 1982 Diamond Back Silver Streak

I'm going to restore it this winter. (not to completely original) I've actually been riding it around the yard the past week.

The seat clamp is a Tuff Neck and the pegs are GTs.  The stem has no markings.  The bars, frame and forks are all matching.

This will be a fun project as I haven't built a bike in 15 years.

Thanks for the input.

Any tips on where I can find parts would be helpful.

Re: 1982 Diamond Back Silver Streak

GREAT find. i'm also in the process of restoring one back to the way my childhood bike was.
pretty much eBay for the parts. the silver streak parts are out there you just gotta be both diligent and patient. in the past couple weeks i've seen correct seat post clamps (one that i picked up for under $10), bars, DB 3piece sugino cranks, sugino alloy DB stem (but you probably wanna keep that tuf-neck smile and pedals. the wheels will be pricey if you wanna find the suzue high flange hubs and the brakes wont be cheap either. other places to look are Ginny's

and vert-ego.com
good luck and look forward to seeing the finished product!
oh yeah, also check out sp@rky's site for lots DB info.

You can also contact Mark @ www.retrospectBMX.com, he may have some parts such as grips, headset, sugino one-peice, fluted seatpost.

I have a couple of items I'll be selling,

NOS Bars, Black Araya (Shinesides) 7x laced to Suzue Large Flange (NOS) and Black Sugino 44T Chainring (NOS)
