1986 GT Pro Performer
1986 GT Pro Performer
This 1986 GT pro performer was bought by my father for me in the summer of 1986 at the Local Better Bicycle Center. I was not really into freestyle but I loved the color and I already had a GT. This bike is all original there is not one replacement part on this bike at all. It has a few scratches on it but the stickers are near mint and it rides excellent. Soon after getting the bike I got my driver's license and graduated to Transams and Z/28's.... so this bike was spared the untold beatings my BMX bikes recieved in prior years.

You know the funny thing was I didn't actually go out of my way to take care of her. I had taken it apart and left the frame sit in the boiler closet for years while the rest of the parts ended up in boxes. I am so surprised she wasn't a scraped up thankfully. The only real scratches she has is from those metal brake cable clips on the top post. they use to wreck every bike I had.

I am stunned, this bike is a beauty and everything youve done to keep her in tact is impressive!
Can you ever really have enough GT's?

Man that bike looks to be in amazing condition. The fact that your the original owner makes it even cooler.

Re: 1986 GT Pro Performer
This bike is exactlty the same as the very first freestyle bike I ever bought in 1986. Up here in Northern Canada, there wern't really a lot of "modern" freestyle bikes around, so when I put this beauty together, people really noticed it.
My rebuild goal is:
to build the very last freestyle bike I ever competed on ( 1988 Haro master ) GOT IT.
to build my dream bike ( 1986 Redline R.L. 20 II ) GETTING PAINTED AT C-4 LABS.
to build my very first bike ( 1986 GT Pro Performer ) EXACTLY LIKE YOURS . HINT. HINT.

Re: 1986 GT Pro Performer
Any way I could buy this bike from you? I had the same exact bike and it was stolen years ago.
