1981 Nishiki
1981 Nishiki
Very rare race bike from the early 80's. Made by Norco / Redline i believe.
Found hanging in a garage late 2009 and purchased in January 2010.
Information is very scarce on these but i'm led to believe they were made by Norco/ Nishiki for Redline as they're virtually an exact copy of one of their bikes. There is small bits of info on various BMX sites but nothing is concrete about the info.
Anyhow, this is virtually 100% original parts.
It's pretty well loaded with nice parts aswell.
Ukai rims
Suntour hubs
Suntour Power stem
Maxy Cross crank
KKT Lightening pedals
Elina saddle
Dia Compe F+R 890's
Redline stamped V bars

Re: 1981 Nishiki
I sold these at the LBS I worked at BITD from Norco. We did not have Redlines yet and it was hard trying to convince a customer that these were the same as a Redline. Every kid that came in wanted a Redline because Stu was in all the magazines. We didn't sell many so I guess these Nishikis are very rare.
