Re: 1977 Cycle Pro Foiler

I have had mine for almost 26 years now.I bought it as a complete bike at a bike shop auction in December'84.It came with Tange forks,CW style handlebars, and a uni seat. What I remember the most about this frame was that the guy who owned the bike shop also ran the auction swore up an down that this was a very early PK Ripper frame while I knew it was some kind of Race inc. built frame.Years later, when talking with someone about the frame,I found out it was a Cycle Pro Foiler.

Re: 1977 Cycle Pro Foiler

I paid 10.00 bucks a week and finally paid off a GT frame, I couldn't wait to show my older          " Friends ". I had the new gt frame only a few hours before a older kid talked me out of it with a blue Cycle Pro aluminum Foiler. I did my best to try to convince myself and my Grandmother( the 10.00 person) that I had made a good trade. I never called Steve a friend anymore and I never let anyone else get the better of me. Albeit the foiler had beautiful welds and a great anodized blue light as a feather also but snapped the frame a year or so later. The bicycle shop in Webster Texas on Nasa Road One was my sanctuary through junior high,  I spent 100's of hours hanging out reading magazines and buying one part at a time for my two wheel transportation.
