1981 Nomura
1981 Nomura
Amazing rare factory rider bike
I purchased this bike at a rummage sale. I think it is all original early 80's stuff. This is an AWESOME BMX bike - I can't believe how nice it rides. MCS forks and stem, Profile cranks and Pete's Precision Products 45T sprocket. Wheels are Araya with Sunshine hubs. Chang Star gold ano brake and Shimano DX gold pedals. Factory rider decal indicates that this was a pro racers bike.
I can't believe the way people mistreat bikes. It also amazes me how many people don't have any bikes and never ride them - poor miserable souls.

Did you pee a little in your pants as you handed over the $20 while trying not to giggle?

Re: 1981 Nomura
It was a great deal but I paid a lot more than $20.00. Apparently people aren't always as gullible as we'd like them to be! As for the kickstand, I cant imagine why a bike like this would have a kickstand, but I decided I shouldn't change a thing about this bike so its staying on. I only took off the dirt. This bike is in great shape but you can tell its been rode hard.

Did this bike end up with Johnny?
Cool faded black. Looks like the purple hue of my Answer forks.

Re: 1981 Nomura
Yes I decided to get this Nomura into the hands of someone who would appreciate it more than I ever could. When I found this bike I never heard of a Nomura. I am very impressed with the new build and I can see I did the right thing. I don't know if I'll ever find another bike like this...but maybe!
