I think their undisputed masterpiece is 'Hip To Be Square', a song so catchy most people probably don't listen to the lyrics - but they should! Because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself!

nice gt,this is exactly the same first gt I ever saw,on the bmx plus!november 1984 issue,I remember being in awe,and actually trying to guess what gt meant, that was cool, since that was the first brand I ever remember after kuwahara.

Re: 1984 GT Pro Performer

its only a performer, because the pros had a tube that came out the sides that said gt on them, look at bikes in the museum to reference

Sounds like you are thinking of a later model like 87 or 88. Forget exactly what year they switched. The down tube also switched to 2 bends that same year for the Pro models. I would direct you to the bikes archived in the museum.

Since I'm here, and you're here, doesn't that make it our time?

Re: 1984 GT Pro Performer

Man this looks nice.  This is just the right amount of blue accent.  I've been looking to build my 95 GT Fueler just the same way.  Great job!
