Finally - 1988 Redline Catalog

I finally found scans of the 88 Redline catalog.  big_smile  You have no idea how excited I am to have found these - I feel like I found a lost treasure!  I'll be posting in the Reference section as well.  Note the one piece cranks on the RL20ii!  tongue  Enjoy!

If anyone has the catalogs for 84, 85, 87 or 89, PLEASE let me know.

It's a high quality scan, so adjust the "zoom" on your browser to see it in more detail.  big_smile

Wow - VERY NICE!

Please let me know when you post in Reference.  It's like 1988 was a forgotten year for Redline (compared to '85-87)...

Done!  Posted in the reference section.  big_smile  I also emailed them to skinnygmg (admin) to see if he wants to convert them to a downloadable PDF file.

Yeah, RL was sold to SBS around 88, and that's when they started to go downhill IMO.  But it's the only year they had 990 mounts on the RL20ii (one of my current projects).  cool

Re: Finally - 1988 Redline Catalog

Hmmm, interesting... photo of RL20II frameset appears to be an '86. No 990 mounts, high peg mounts, earlier Forklifter stem and chrome stays. hmm

Escaped Detroit and lived to tell about it...

I wish you still had them.  I've been searching for the mid-80's RL catalogs (other than 86) forever.  I wish I could find the rest....

Re: Finally - 1988 Redline Catalog

Thanks for posting that up jeff.
great reference!

Its funny how they show an 86 RL20II for the frame set in the 88 catalog.
I hope the militant catalog builders don't get all flustered.

Re: Finally - 1988 Redline Catalog

Very nice.  Question for anyone...what's the purpose of the two little tabs on the forklifter bars?  Are the like the little bone at the base of your spine?  (no one knows the function).
