1982 Dale Racing
80'S DALE RACING FRAME/FORK SET. ( SOLD )
Thanks for all the help in finding out what this was. Craig's list find in PA, Grabbed it for all the parts, had no idea what the F/F was. Believed to be very rare, not many around. Found out info by GOOGLING DALE RACING . Any more info would be great. I think they were made by CW, not sure what I'll do with it...offers,and ideas are welcome...THANX.

of all the CW made frames, i have never seen one with the seat post tube pierced through the top tube, not to mention Voris designed and produced the CW handlebars. Voris made parts and frames for many major bmx companies;Hutch, Robinson, Pro Neck, Powerlite, CW, and Vector just to name a few, so to assume this wasn't made by him is a bit presumptuous to say the least. it was also said that there was two prototypes made by someone else, this could be one of the prototypes, possibly made by Voris?

nope not one of the Proto Types. they were looptail's. and I have asked Voris and Peter dale. so no I did not assume anything just the fact's. Oh and Voris did not design the CW bars sorry but Power Lite did. man you need to hit the books. LOL

Re: 1982 Dale Racing
"VD: Yep. Roger Warsham had nothing to do with the concept of that. Steve at Powerlite, (it was Powerlite at that time, it was Pedal Power first) came to me with the design and asked me to make them. We designed it, re-designed it. I made him; I don't know, 15 or 20 prototypes. And Steve said, "This thing will never sell."
I had them lying on the floor in my shop. Roger came in and saw it. He said, "Do you mind if I take one of those?" I called Steve, and he said, "Sure, that thing will never go."
You were right, but i said that from memory from an interview i read over a year ago, and if you read the quote above, you will see why i said that.

Re: 1982 Dale Racing
83 for dale,84 for shadow, but was never put into production though, pistol pete was going to be the rider for the new cw spawn, but it never happened..so it looks like they used the dale design after fulfilling the dale order.
