Bullseye hubs axle bolt

I have a set of bullseye hubs w/Araya rims.  The front hub has threaded allen bolts that screw into each side.  The rear hub has a standard hex bolt that goes through the hub sleeve with a standard nut on the other end.  I'm questioning whether the bolt through on the rear is correct.  Does anyone know if what i am describing is the correct setup?  I can't see where the sleeve in the rear hub is threaded, so it doesn't seem as though it ever had allen bolts like the front hub.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Bullseye hubs axle bolt

You can post a pic of both hubs. That might help somewhat, but the truth is there probably is no real way to tell if its correct or if someone changed it. Because you can buy both types of axle setups.
