Re: 1981 GT Junior

what number is on the bikes serial number? My 84 is stamped with a  2. I'm wondering if 2 is for Jr or Expert.

Re: 1981 GT Junior

GT Dropout Stampings are as follows:

4 = Pro

2 = Expert

JR = Junior

Bear in mind, some standard 24's were stamped with a 4 (Standard 24) and some 24's were apparently stamped with a 2 (Expert, or junior, 24)

I have a 1981 GT Junior frameset that I should build up one day.

Don't quote "facts" unless you have info to back it up. Assumption starts with those three letters for a reason....

Re: 1981 GT Junior

Does anyone know if the 1981 GT JR takes a strange size seatpost clamp? Is this 1"? Thanks.
