Re: 1977 Mongoose Motomag
My friend got probably the first turn-key goose in town.
I think it was chrome.
Boy what a heavy bike that long frame was...
It was funny couse my friend was a little guy too.
Sadly it never saw a track, but was on paper rout and (my bike is cooler than yours duty).
BMXA called it the "Arnie shwartzenegger special" Or something like that.
Who woulda thought that both Arnie and mongoose would be so famouse in 2006????
Pedals up!......Riders ready!......GO!!!!!

Re: 1977 Mongoose Motomag
I have all the 99% of the parts to complete a complete restortion of this bike, does anyone know if there is a specific code number or colour to get the bike repainted in & where I may obtain the paint and who'll do a good job in the UK. I got the stickers from bmxproducts.com

Re: 1977 Mongoose Motomag
back in the day(in the house i grew up in) there were these two twin brothers that both had multiple paper routes and were saving up their money till one day...
they both showed up to our trails on their new Mongoose's...one had a white one and the other was yellow just like this one...needless to say,all us other kids on our Huffy's were green with envy. ![]()
that jealousy was finally subdued when i got my Supergoose a year or two later. ![]()
amazing line-up of Goose's you have there sir.
