Re: 1985 raleigh aero pro burner
What's the serial number on your bike, and where is it located?
My bike looks very similar to yours, but people are saying it's not a Kuwi...

Re: 1985 raleigh aero pro burner
no it cant be, becuase kuwhara has a flat brake bridge, this is a tube type, besides i saw one with raleigh stickers on ebay, and the shape is exactly the same as this frame, so it is a raleigh aero pro burner.

Re: 1985 raleigh aero pro burner
No flat brake bridge? Oops not a Laser, missed that bit of detail. After looking at the new pics of your seat post tube and bb, its definitely not a Kuwahara. I am thinking it could be a frame whose name rhymes with 'logan'... the non-gusseted kind... hmm. I'll shut up for now.

Re: 1985 raleigh aero pro burner
that is a raleigh aero pro burner built by tange oval frame. originally came with araya aero rims, tange grips(same as hutch grips)dia compe mx brake set, top of the line bmx by raleigh back in the day(uk market) $900 or 450 british pounds. my buddy had one and pretty much you were the king of the block if you had that bike. i'll try and get some pics of that original bike because i can't remember all the original parts on the bike. you could get more info from raleigh uk on that bike. the andy ruffell team raleigh frames are the exact same.

Re: 1985 raleigh aero pro burner
Hi there.I am from england and i dont think it is a raliegh because all the burners at the back end where the two tubes that hold the back wheel dont have a gap between them ,they are one tube cranked to shape. good luck dude

i still think this should be a raleigh aero pro burner because it looks exactly the same as the one that sold on ebay few months ago.

Re: 1985 raleigh aero pro burner
raleigh burners have an R cut out on the front forks and an R on the rear wheel stay.I have also noticed from your picture that the seat post tube on the frame has a white square with a red circle on it and i am sure it is a kuwara as my mate had the e.t bike(not THE e.t bike) and thats where i first saw it. Also serial no is on back of seat post tube on frame (i know this because ive just bought mk2 burner frame off e bay.

yes, this is different from other raleighs, its made in japan by tange, the same people that made kuwhara frames.
