1979 JMC Long Standard

I've been wanting a 1979 JMC for a long, long time. I wanted OG paint, but this one was amazingly clean even though it had been painted at least five times.

I had big plans for this one. First to get it back to its original color--white. Parts are all 1979ish/era-correct. It's in great shape other than the finish. Nothing is crushed, no ugly nut/washer marks, no dings or dents, round headtube, seat tube and BB shell, nothing bent. And the welds are the tiniest I've ever seen. So clean.
Frame: JMC Long Standard (Repowdered with NOS stickers--not Jim's repops.)
Forks: Redline Microline (NOS) (I hope to get some JMCs--I have some in chrome to trade for.)
Headset: Tange MX-2
Stem: Tuf-Neck, First-Gen
Bars: Cook Brothers Racing, Pro-Size
Grips: Oakley 1
Brakes: Shimano Tourney Calipers and Cable, Shimano Tourney Lever with rubber sleeve and Scott Mathauser finned pads
Seat Clamp: Suntour
Seatpost: Race Inc. Chromo, 12"
Saddle: Cinelli Unicanitor
Cranks: Shimano, Dura-Ace, 175; Shimano 46T chainring, Shimano (Tange) BB
Pedals: Reedy Ultimate Pedals with OG Grip Tape
Wheels: Araya 7C (NOS) with Suntour flip-flop hubs (NOS), Union SS spokes with Edco alloy nipples, 16T Suntour 888 freewheel
Tires: Mitsuboshi Competition II 20 x 2.125 front and Mitsuboshi Competition II 20 x 1.75 rear
Chain: Regina Drilled
Other: Vinyl Rad Pads, 44-16 Number plate

BMX MUSEUM is not a contest to see who has more bmx knowledge. It's a place to share it.
