1983 Powerlite

Firstpitch in 1983 at the Bensalem Raceway in Bensalem PA.  This pic was taken before my bike hit its final form, before a wicked cool Araya Aero wheelset...nice nikes eh?

Second shot was November 1983 at our own track at an industrial park in Ivyland Pennsylvania about 1 mile from my house.  We dug our berms, whoops, quarter pipes, big jumps...sweet.   People came from Jersey to ride it, both BMX and Motocross.  Here I am grabbing some air.  Nothing too fancy for me back then, just going fast.   We used words like RAD.

Rode my bike during college...sold it in 1991 for $125.00 to a neighbor's kid Tom back in Ivyland, PA.  How's that for a regret!

Re: 1983 Powerlite

Ah the 80's.  Now a days all kids have to wear a helmet, back then it was how many of your friends could you jump over...10..11..12.  Being the 12th guy in the line was a real treat.  Broke many forks and stems off big jumps in the street in front of my house...and yes, no helmet.  Where the hell were my parents???
