Another sweet Haro of yours smile  Still looks cool as hell with the parts you have on it, original or not.

Re: 1987 Haro Sport

Interesting.  Very sweet bike, but it appears to have 87 decals on it.  Did you build it up or did it come with the kneesavers?  What's the serial number?  Late 88 models shouldn't have 990 either.  Hmmm...

Looking for:
NOS white freestyle tires, preferably something rare.
NOS white Elina Flyte Tech
Chrome GT framestanders
85-86 Redline rear framestanders
Turquoise brake pads

Re: 1987 Haro Sport

I got it in 88 but I was told it was an 88.5 when I bought it. I now know the 88.5 didn't have 990 mounts. The frame is an 87 serial number! I know Haro used a few late 87 serial numbers on there early 88 models. John

Re: 1987 Haro Sport

Sorry, On second look it DOES have 88 decals on it.  That's actually an early 88 model.  88.5s did not have 990s and the rear triangles were painted instead of chrome.

Re: 1987 Haro Sport

Thanks Paulie, I was worried for a moment there. I have had this bike for almost 20 years. Hadto have the top plate re-made and welded back on as I cracked it all the way through. I am just chassing decals for it. The colour way is never available on ebay!

Re: 1987 Haro Sport

One of my mates is a spray painer by trade. He matched the colour pretty well. But I am still not happy with the bike. I want to strip it down and have it re-chromed and re-sprayed. I have a nos sticker set but the sport part of the set is all blue not black fade to blue. So if anyone out there has that sticker and would sell or trade, please drop me a line. John

Re: 1987 Haro Sport

wow.. well, I think the color looks dead on PERFECT.
I've seen SPORTS re-powdered by some Pro's.. that  don't have the exact same color as they come stock. I think I remember that you're located in UK. I wish I lived closer to have your friend paint my Haro Master that color.

I might try myself.  is there a certain Blue Paint I should get?
I'd love to match this ...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

smile

Re: 1987 Haro Sport

I am in Melbourne Australia now, I am from Scotland. As for the blue paint, I had my mate scrape a sample from my frame and colour match it. Cheers John
