1984 Titan Mini
1984 Titan Mini
1984 Titan Mini built for my Grand Daughter to race.
I originally built a Titan Mini for my Grand Daughter last year. She was very successful racing it locally and when she visited other tracks. This year she wanted my SE Ripper Jr. so I gave that to her in exchange for the Titan. She found out the SE was much heavier and for her at least not as fast. I had already completely stripped it and cleaned and polished everything. It has not yet been reassembled.
I recently found another Titan Titanium Mini Frame & Fork and built it up for her to race. I gave it to her tonight. I hope she is as successful with it as she was with the one last year. (Will post old one as soon as reassembled) I think this turned out pretty well. It was built with mostly old school parts and some mid school parts (wheels & tires).
The build includes Polished Dotek Cranks with Tuff-neck Alloy 39T Chainring, connected with Red Alloy chainring bolts. Power transferred to rear Suntour Chrome 16T freewheel with a Sedis Black & Silver 3/32" Chain. Pedals are Victor Red & Chrome. Stopping comes by applying Dia-Compe Tech III Black Lever connected to Dia-Comp Rear Alloy Brake with Odyssee Slick Cable. ( Brake was front so today I got a new rear bolt from Freewheeler BMX Shop and converted it). Headset is Black Cycle Pro, Stem is Polished DK Mini old school Square Corner unit. Bars are Powerlite Junior that I polished and Grips are A'me Tri Bubble Fonts. Seat of course is Uni Mini connected with thru bolt (no seat clamp) for weight savings. She will be putting her NBL Number Plate on it. Wheels are Rhino Lites with Redline Alloy Hubs in Natural, polished of course. Front is Radial Spoked, cuz it's cool!
This is the bike my son and I wanted for him to race when he was 7-8, but could not afford it.
New Titan Decals applied that were obtained couple years ago from Jason Craig. All components were retrieved from the vault. Bike came together in two days.
Hope you like it, I think it is a beauty and very very lite.

Re: 1984 Titan Mini
Thanks, wait until you see the other one. Probably missing a couple of era correct parts but will post when complete and make changes later.
