Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

Hey Dan, Ok you have a few options. The 89 master stickers I sell for $60us plus $15 Freight, as yu can see from my frame these are awsome! But if you are doing the 90 master I do have they original stickers for it. They cost me $160us on ebay. I would sell them for the same price. I bought the original so as I could make these sticker's. The only difference is the colours. The 90 master sticker's are purple and black. I will send you an email of them. It all depends what colour you are going to do your frame. Let me know. Teamharo

Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

Sorry mate, but this bike has taken me years to fix up. This bike means more to me than money. I rode it and I cracked it. I built it to take me back to my 80's day's of riding. But there are alway's frames for sale on ebay. Buy a second hand frame and drop me a line for the sticker's. They are what makes the bike look so awsome. Thanks for your interest. Teamharo

Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

hey, HPF 2.0 haro tyres were used on the 89 master. I couldn't find the tyres so I have used haro multi surface 1. These tyres came on the 87 & 88 haro bikes. The only difference between the two tyres is the HPF's are smooth on the top. Hope this helps you out. Teamharo

Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

Cool bike. I bought the same bike at the age of 14 and back then, 489.00 was crazy to spend on a bike. I still have the original paperwork and receipt for the bike. Everything is exactly the same way as I purchased it except for the tires and I dont know what originally came with the bike to know if the store stripped any of the original parts it came with. I have had a hard time trying to get info on this bike and dont know if there is anything special about it other than sentimental value.

Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

Answere to the chis king 1" is I used to work for the wholesaler over here in Australia and I got the last three available, Silver, Black and Blue. So I put them on some of my haro's. As for the complete master, No1 reason is sentimental value. This bike took me into the next level of riding. No2 Matt Hoffman pulled his first flair on the 89 master. I just think this bike is so ugly it's beautifull. i love it. Teamharo

You seem to know a lot about haros. Can you help me? Still waiting on my pics to post but here is a link to one almost exactly like mine same paint and all. http://arkbmx.tripod.com/id113.htm (go down to cordless grinder) I do have those alloy 3 piece fusion cranks you talked about though. It's in awesome condition and near original except for grips and tires. What would you say it would sell for? Don't want to sell but have baby on the way and everybit helps.(wife says) Thanks

Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

well I would be keen on the bike. The reason I know so much about Haro is I used to ride for them and also I worked in the sales deprtment for three years. Haro was my fav bikes and I really do still love them. I am really keen on the cranks, but also on the complete bike. Can you send me a pic. My email is teamharo@hotmail.com

Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

Hi teamharo,

I had to tell you that your work on this bike is simply amazing.  I am also very interested in your decals story.  I am planning on building a 1990 Haro Sport and no decals are available... Could you please explain how you created those decals yourself and would you be so kind as to help me create the same Sport Decals?

Many thanks in advance,

Laurent

Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

Do you have any pics of your frame? Was it the black one or the green one. I rode the master in 1990 but two of my friends had the sport. One of each colour. The 90 sport was the same as the master sticker set apart from ofcourse the sport sticker it's self. If you still have a good closeup pic of the sport sticker I may be able to help you, as the rest of the art work is done. Let me know. John

Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

Hi John,

thanks very much for your answer. Unfortunately, the frame I bought is chrome (stripped I think) and there are no decals. I will have it powdercoated soon but I am currently hesitating between black or white. The only picture of the sticker I have ever seen is here on the site on the black 1990 Sport listed. There should be a picture in the 1990 Haro catalog but I cannot find it anywhere on the net (all the links I found are dead!). Is it sufficient to create a decal? I know more people would really love to be able to get these Sport decals...

Another question John: Do you know where I could get a fork for this Sport?  Would you have 1 available?  I have seen one 1988 Master/Sport fork on ebay in not very good condition with a 130+$ BIN price, that is pretty pricey, isn't it?

Your help is very valuable!

Thanks,

Laurent

Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

Laurent, everything has a price. But I would only buy that fork if I was building an 88 sport or master. Wait a while the fork will come up. Can you check the serial number on the bike, the reason I ask is there was no sport made in 1990. They did in 89 and 91. Email me a pic of the frame or serial number and i will tell you. I have the 90 catalogue. John

Re: 1989 Haro Team Master

I do have a NOS set of Invert stickers and as you know I have a couple of Master sticker set's. Both are from 89. I do not have the shredder decals and it would cost me to much to make the screens up and print some out. When I made my master sticker's theyt cost me $1800 and Ionly got about 20 sets screen printed. John
