S&M Widowmaker Registry.

We have been working on putting together an S&M Widowmaker registry. So far we have 34 Widowmakers, and 9 Pre-Widowmaker cruisers known to exist. If you would like to be added to the registry, PM me or Ryan Partridge with your serial number, and photo and we will put your rare cruiser on the list. We would like to see what kind of pattern S&M used when serial numbering these.

I think the number scheme was whatever B&E used that day. I have a feeling B&E stamped a bin of dropouts for each brand and style of frame and grabbed from the pile whenever they did a run of a particular frame. Making for some out of sequence production. I could be wrong.
A good example of B&E's grab anything manufacturing is in this thread about Badd and Company...

Hopefully one day I can be a part of the registry. ![]()

So far the dropout serials are pretty much a consistant pattern.I only have 3 serials so far. If I was to make an educated guess, I would say SMC stands for S&M cruiser. 21 being the length of the top tube. And the last 2 digits being the actual run number. Once again, this is just a guess. But if its true, we could say at least 74 were made. Please send me those serial numbers so we can get a better idea of how they numbered the Widows.

SMC2236
SMC does stand for S&M Cruiser I Beliive. But the first two numbers don't seem to have any relevance with TT length. My TT seems to be closer to 21.25 as well.

I just posted pics of mine SMC2038 very early one without gusset! They should all be 21 1/4"tt
Also mine has a one off pitchfork, the guy I bought the F&F bent the original fork and S&M made a new for
him with a plug welded in the bottom to stiffin it up! Kinda like a plug on top of Stupid/Menstrual forks!

Gary, I would like to find that out to! I read somewhere that Kelly Baker? stated the earlier ones didnt
have the triangle gusset and based on the serial numbers looks to be correct but no info on how may of each.
