Re: 1978 Cook Bros. Racing

Its crazy I just looked this bike up after seeing a set of theese bars and same stem going for 750.00 on the for sale section wich still seems a little high but now looking over the bike I am starting to understand...I cant believe this bike is from the late 70's it truley is still up to date as far as the mechanics go...I bet you could show up ready to race and still be a true contender on this bike even though its over 30 years old!!! simply amazing! very cool bike!!!cool

Re: 1978 Cook Bros. Racing

If I had a bike like this when I was younger, I would still be riding it today.  What an awesome machine!  This is what BMX is all about, innovation and timeless quality.

Re: 1978 Cook Bros. Racing

I've never seen a bike this old with a euro bb, bet it weighs around 23 pounds or so, yes it's very rare, yes I'd love to own it, but as for holy grail?, for old school maybe, I've got the mid school holy grail hanging in my shop, one of one (so far) Schwinn prototype ENF, the Father of all Schwinn alloy race bikes.

My question is: how on earth did you find all the correct parts? In that condition?, my god your checkbook must be on fire, I would be stoked just to have that frame hanging on the wall, absolute work of art.
