1995 Ironhorse Lunar

Flatland bike...see from pic

Hi there,

I am new to the forum, I just recently bought a used Ironhorse Luna from the picture shown below and wanted to get some feedback on the model and general opinions of the bike.

Even perhaps a link showing the history or discussion of the bike would be great.

Regards

I don't know much about this brand either. But I did just pick up the same model off eBay in white with blue decals. Nice feature is that the paint glows in the dark. Pretty cool. Looks like a flatland bike .... but the bottom rear sticker says "dirt ready". I plan on setting it up as a flatland bike anyhow. Will post once restoration is complete.

The frame design reminds me of a Schwinn Hydramatic:

all I know is Iron hores was big in BMX in the 90's they wear/ are a mountain bike company. that wanted a peice of the BMX pie / $$$ that BMX was making look so grate. any ways they mostly built race frmes. but one of there factory race riders allso road street and did flatland. so they cam out with there first not just for racing frame. it was billed in mags to do it all. Dirt,Flat and Street. but thats all I know about it.

Re: 1995 Ironhorse Lunar

wow, never seen this one before, looks like an ares ashura somehow, as well as a schwinn, not so sure about it being 1995, since it is 1 1/8 threadless, and back in 1995 only the gt fueler and a few standard bike models were sporting aheadsets, pretty interesting design indeed

Hah, I clicked on this so I could say the same thing that I happen to have already said three years ago.

Re: 1995 Ironhorse Lunar

i just recently done a resto on one of these for the grand daughter.

all original except upgraded the crank to a 3 piece, would love a better shot of the downtube graphics so i could get the signwriters to knock up a decal.
