1985 Mongoose Californian
Finally got another Cali!
Found this mostly built up in a local bike shop, Bike Club falls church VA to be exact. This place is the best shop around D.C. imho. The frame and forks are Mongoose with perfect chrome. Since I sold my old Cali the repop stickers are available so I applied these to the frame and forks. The rear brakes are unknown and it also came with the headset dust covers. I would like to find an era correct proclass stem and bars. rims and skinwalls. I had this baby blue Dominator laying around just for a time like this.
Updated, got rid of the z-rims and the heavy kendas and puncture resistant slime inner tubes. I think it dropped five pounds. Feeling pretty good about this bike now. It now is riding on Cheng Shin skinwalls and Arayas. Also swapped the tecktro with a Dia-compe lever. Still not perfect but working towards it.

It is a great shop. You can use their tools and work on your bikes at there. Right now they have two nos chrome trickstar II F/F sets. I picked up a set of Araya's and a rear pro-c;ass. Who knows what is there, they have more bikes crammed into a small shop than anywhere.
