1978 Robinson
1978 Robinson
Early production first generation Robinson
Recently found at a local swap meet. The owner mentioned it had been sand blasted twice over it's life but never repainted. He mentioned he had it since he was a kid and said it was a Robinson. I previously owned a 79 with the non stamped "R" gusset and was not aware that the first year had this style gusset.

Re: 1978 Robinson
Belive it or not I have an earlier style robinson. Its a late '77with a different style gusset.I know it to be so because my friend Bill Anderson got a factory sponsorship here in Colorado from them when they were first getting going and had this first style frame that I have. Its squrriled away in the crawl space of my house right now with some other old stuff.I'm going to try to dig it out this summer and put some pics up of before and after restorations. Its a complete bike.Dura-ace cranks,7b's.

Oh man, I came across one of these Robbi's from a guy who was a junker. My ignorance, pre-bmxmuseum told him it was a Ross! I'm sure it was scrapped days later ![]()

I was wondering if this could be an LRV bike stickered up as a Robinson which I believe Chuck used first before having his own frames made...?

I had an early 78 with serial number RLH021 It had the round hole gusset and a euro BB
I’m looking for a clean 1975 Mongoose (long) frame, and a nice original finish Mongoose Two/Four
