1977 Free Spirit MX
1977 Free Spirit MX
The bike that started it all for me...
This 1977 Free spirit MX was a gift from parents, for making my 1st Communion. Up until this bike all my prior rides were hand-me-downs from my two older brothers. Cracked the frame about a year after I got it... but by then I was HOOKED!!!!
BMX/Freestyle... my fountain of youth.

Re: 1977 Free Spirit MX
I wish it did but sadly No... I'm sure I would remember something as cool as a racing slick on the rear!!

Re: 1977 Free Spirit MX
I was trying to find my old bike on this site and found yours. I had this exact bike as a kid. It was a Christmas present when I was seven. I rode that thing to hell and back in San Jose, CA. I finally totaled it in 1980 riding Kamikaze style down hill at the Laguna Seca Raceway in California. The bike was totaled, I bent the frame beyond repair. Thanks for posting the photo.
