Re: 1992 Haro Master

They rule. I have 2 of these. I also did the same with fork/stem combo set up. Seriously thinking of turning one of mine into a rider. Still love the whole geometry of these Masters. Sweet as!

Re: 1992 Haro Master

Thanks for the response guys! I've had a few people message me about the headset details so I'll give anyone who's interested the 411.

You know the bearings the new bikes take... there on like a 45 degree
angle. The bearing are all inside, there like a tapered sealed bearing
http://www.flatlandfuel.com/index.asp?P … rodID=1083
Hopefully that will show them. Any 1 inch cups will do as long as
there not cracked.
You'll use
-1 inch 1st gen lower Gyro
-Modified 1 inch cups
-1 1/8 integrated headset( get it complete, you'll need the washers
and all that jazz)
-2nd gen 1 1/8 gyro bearing assembly
-2nd gen 1 1/8 gyro top
-any new forks that accept integrated headsets

Some older forks have a lower bearing race that will go on first to
mate with the new headset.
I swear this is easy!

Just copied that from a message I sent a buddy.

Re: 1992 Haro Master

Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place, I`m not on top of exactly how  forums work.

I have a 1991 Haro Ground Master which is completely stock - as it was delivered. Believe it or not the bike has only been riden approx 4 times.
The bike is in such good condition that it has got to the stage that although I want to ride it, the fact that I want to keep it pristine stops me.
I`ve been prompted to find out what the demand for them is as I very nearly let a friend have it for his son but I had a rethink and realised I couldn`t see it thrashed as his daily ride.

I`m useless on these forums and can`t seem to post a picture directly. I don`t want to open any "photobucket" or "flickr" accounts. If anyone would like to see pictures perhaps there is a way they can post some up for me?

I`m not convinced that I want to sell it as I love it but perhaps someone here is looking for one and if they can convince me it is going to a good home I could be persuaded.

Sorry again if I have posted in the wrong place!

Re: 1992 Haro Master

Thats awesome. Thats not what I have done. I keep tracking down 1" fork stem combo's which is super hard to do.

I'm going to give this a go. Cheers buddy. That is unreal.

'how to: 1" threaded frame with 1 1/8 fork'.

if you're not a member there it's worth signing up just for that thread.  it's a way of doing it with no significant modifications.

Re: 1992 Haro Master

I think I still have the FREE AIRWALK card that Hoffman gave me.
He gave me crap for trying to shake his right hand, he's like "dude, everybody know's I'm left handed!" Not me I guess.LOL.
Other riders take note, Matts' a lefty! Would have helped 17 years ago!

Thanks for all the rad comments guys, It's getting out of hand tracking down this stuff now. Fun as hell though!

Met a lot of rad people here as well, just like back in the day!
