1988 Haro Team Master
1988 Haro Team Master
Saved from rust. Restored in 2009. Located in Paris - France.
Started as a frame & fork combo purchased off Ebay which survived through the years without too much rust. These original Teal/Mint frame & fork were sent to C4 for a complete resto, chrome, powder coating and stickers. The Teal Duck once back home was fitted with lots of chrome stuff for fun. Today it is still with mid-school stuff, mostly Haro-Fusion accessories.
Will make lots of pics and will probably change accessories again.

Re: 1988 Haro Team Master
Thanks mates. I think I'll go with a straight tube in the near future with a black dominator. The Fusion seat looks fat but at least it's confortable. I also have an era-correct Kneesaver. Needs to be restored but in a great shape. I tried the Harley-Davidson look with it, hehe, I had great fun with that (I've posted pics on the forum).

Re: 1988 Haro Team Master
The Wellgo arrived this week. I had them for cheap. They remind me of the Shimano but are incrdibly light due to the magnesium they are made of and the shortened chromoly axle. These pedals have a design trick with this sort of oval hole which allows that. They are very nicely done and fits perfectly to the Redline cranks. Less radical and more classic design than the HT alu ones. ![]()

Re: 1988 Haro Team Master
Finally managed to grab one of these axles with the famous allen bolt. Now the Nippon is as a 88 should be. Ddidn't add the allen front bolt though. ![]()

I also made close-ups of the "Team Haro" grips. They are cool. I have Primos on another bike and they are pretty nice. I had a pair of nos Mushrooms in a box but I always had an horrible feeling with the shrooms, then I gave them to a friend.

Re: 1988 Haro Team Master
Yesterday, I took the time to take a second look at a pair of DC pads I had in a box. I ordered clear pads for the Haro, I heard the clear ones are leaving less dirt on the chrome rims, well... at least I'll try.
The DC ones were nos but pretty dirty. I read on the forum that it is somewhat possible to clean them with bleach. I tried and it works very well : bleach + boiling water. ![]()
When plunged into the mixture, the water got a blueish tint, I just had to brush a little bit - "et voilĂ !"

Re: 1988 Haro Team Master
Update.
Shiney Duckey was fitted today with Sun wheels mounted with DB chrome spokes and Redline sealed bearings hubs. The SevenK/Peregrine will be sent to a specialized workshop and relaced using a pro tensiometer.
I've added 175 tires, the Odyssey Gouin tanwalls which are very nice.
Seat tube received a chrome Haro sticker from AJK and a very nice NOS Elina Peregrine seat which looks great. It's of course less comfy than the Haro mid but way better looking.
Better pics in a few days.

Re: 1988 Haro Team Master
Slight update. I'm cleaning out the dust for summer time.
I finally found a proper chainwheel adapter for the "CD" sprocket, thanks to Porkchop.
Added the titanium "vintage look" bolts set from Hong-Kong Joe to the Redline Flight 180.
I also used two Odi grips lock-rings to cover the stem column above the headset.
