Re: 1974 Yamaha Moto-Bike
I love the idea of the bigger tires and decided to change my tires to bigger too. I also noticed someone changed out the rear shocks to heavier duty models. I have one of those frames too where someone switched the rear shocks. Love the look and yours.
It also seems to have the rear of the frame (at the top or rear luggage rack area of the frame is bent down. This is not the first time I have seen this either, wonder how that happens?? I know of another one of these in my parents neighborhood and noticed one day the kids playing on it. The way they play on it is; ride it to a certian speed and jump off it it and watch it crash inot the curb. I went down and ask the mother of the kids if they wanted to sell the bike..... "no, it was my husbands and the kids like to play on it"... I did tell her it was worth a couple hundred at least ans she still wants to keep it for the kids to "play" with. What is a guy to do? I'll go back in a couple years once the kids outgrow it... maybe they will see dollar signs and I can get a resto going on it.

These were incredible bikes...My parents got it for me because I was so rough on bikes..this bike went through my childhood and after 35 years will be rideable after I replace the tires.. thanks in advance

Re: 1974 Yamaha Moto-Bike
Somebody stole the wheels off of my brand new Kawasaki BX-2000. So, I swapped all the parts onto my trusty old Yamaha Moto-Bike. WoW! I had the Coolest Bike on the Block!
At least I thought so.. lol ![]()
