1987 Haro Group 1 RS3
1987 Haro Group 1 RS3
1987 Haro Group 1 RS3 with Lester Mags
I bought this brand new in '87-'88. I rode it for a year or so and then it sat in the garage. In the summer of '89, my family moved across the country and the bike got banged up pretty badly in the moving van. Several years later, I disassembled it and tried sanding it down but only got the job partially done. From that point on, the disassembled bike and parts remained in the attic for over a decade. I decided to custom restore it this year (2010) and what you see in the pictures is the final result. Overall, I'm very happy with the outcome. I had a local guy powder-coat the frame, fork, handlebars, stem, and seat post in wet black finish.
If you live in the Dallas area, I highly recommend him:

The more I think I about it, I truly regret NOT taking a picture of this bike before it was restored. It was in very rough shape.

+1 on that. Those mags really make this bike pop I reckon.

I'm in. The Lesters are on point! I think that's the best Lester style. Clean Haro man.
