1987 Titan Ti Lite TE-1000 24
1987 Titan Ti Lite TE-1000 24
In 1987 Titan started using “Ti-lite” decals and I believe this continued until the “wishbone” style frames came out in 1989. This bike is an exact replica of my cruiser I raced from 1987-1990. I liked how my cruiser rode so much that it eventually became my daily rider over my 20” bikes. Unfortunately, it was stolen in 1993. I ordered all the parts at one time via mail order including the Urchin cages and yes white Profile cranks. The Suntour cages were immediately swapped out and thrown in the parts box. My original Profile hubs had chromoly axles, not ti and the Kashimax RS seat had “KASHIMAX” written on the sides instead of “Tioga FS”. It’s the same seat though. I built this bike up completely from memory (like all my personal replicas). A couple years ago I was looking through some old paperwork and found the original receipt for the bike! The only thing I had wrong was the brake! I used a white MX-1000 when it should have been a chrome MX-901. I ran the original bike with white 1st gen Flite pads, but I like the look of the black Titan pads. The final pic is the only one I have of my old cruiser. No repros were used on this bike.

Nice Titan! Super Clean!
We just put a Titan Jr. Cruiser back on the track after 20+ years in storage. My 8yo raced this one in SLC tonight. He did great on it.
