Well the lawrence kansas group of members on here that ride almost every sunday got our first local coverage for our attempt to create a BMX Track here in town.

Very cool of the local paper to run an article on our BMX initiative. A neighbor of mine told me he saw me and my bike gang riding around town last month, too funny. Here is a pic of what I'm working on at the moment. Hope to have it finished for Spring.

Thats pretty sweet but its almost imperitive that you have a water source for track maintenance because whether you like it or not there will be kids and mountain bikers riding the track when its wet creating ruts etc. even if its fenced in people will find a way, we have had to deal with alot of this kinda stuff here and ya never think about the important stuff until ya need it

Thanks for the heads up taco, for that reason I prefer to be next ot the golf course as they have water and the ground is slightly elevated to we get more runoff and less standing water.
P.S. GETSET Is that the bike parish and I saw in front of harbor on halloween?

Yea, that is the same frame and fork I had out on Holloween. I am going in a different direction though, going with a gold and black look. I am going to strip and repaint the frame. It was put together at that time with parts off other bikes. Just needing wheels and brakes at this point.
