1982 Hutch Pro Racer - Pre-serial
My pride and joy. It all started over a $10 headset find
Recently upgraded and still a work in progress. I am going to change out the sumo gold wheels for a set of araya 7c 1 3/8" rims(gold) laced with Sunshine flip flop sealed hubs - gold flange w/ polished center. Also, I am debating on swapping the powerlites for a set of GT racer bars and a DK square stem for a Pro Neck stem - polished. Last, traded out the Lee Chi brakes for Dia Compe, and the straight seat post for a drain pipe - Eric Carter Style! Oh yeah forgot - trade the Sugino one piece sprocket for a tuff neck disc and sprocket.

Re: 1982 Hutch Pro Racer - Pre-serial
Will do bud , it might take longer then expected !!!
Im building 2 of them
Your Frame set wanted list is:
Profile Box Cranks
Crupi Pedals (blue)
Araya 7x w bullseye hubs (blue hubs)
Tuf Neck Stem (blue)
Fred Z Bars
blue Uni Turbo Seat
Pit Bull Brakes
Actually thinking of using the parts off of my GT untill i get all the parts ...
That way i can just reintstall the parts on the GT and keep it rather then selling it to fund the craft...

Looks soooooo much better with the rims than the mags. I love the Black! I was thinking of painting my Chrome Pro Racer Black, Now I KNOW I am. Great Job.

Re: 1982 Hutch Pro Racer - Pre-serial
Still a work in progress. I am switching out the wheels now for a set of nos Araya 7c laced with Sunshine sealed flip flop. They are anodize gold. I also scored a set of GT Pro Bars and a Pro Neck stem - switching out the powerlites and dk stem. I alsoo switch out the gt/profile cranks for regular profiles. I also switch out the spider and chain wheel from a one piece sugino to a tuff neck spider and a Pete's Precision sprocket. Sorry for rambling, but I dig this ride.

this is beautiful. did this sticker set come on the bike? if not... where did you get it. i've got something similar on my Hutch Jr. Racer. we bought the frame p/c white with stickers already on it, same as yours, but seat-stay say's Jr. Racer. Haven't seen any other hutches on the site with this set on it, except now yours of course. i browse around lookin' at all the Hutches in the museum and become more and more confused as to what decal set is correct for what year, model, etc. We're getting ready to build another Hutch Jr. Racer - assuming 81 'ish because it's pre-serial. we picked it up the frame and fork black, so we're going to p/c it black again. we're going with chrome on clear decals, but again, not sure what's correct for this year Jr. Racer. maybe i should run it by JDB and see what he says.
