My 1985 Mongoose Expert
Bought the bike of ebay from a couple who lived in New Jersey. The bike has a sticker on it saying THE BIKE SHOP, STATON ISLAND, NY. So the bike has traveled a long way to Cumbria in the United Kindom.

thats really funny. the bike shop in staten island is two towns over from my mothers neighborhood. i was in there last week getting my rim trued on my road bike.

You should show the owner of the shop a picture of the bike to see if he remembers it 
Better still take some photo's of the shop and post em up or ask him if he has any old school photo's of the shop how it wa back in the 80s
