1984 Skyway T/A

1984 Skyway T/A

No need for introduction.

Here's the one bike that was always going to finish my Old School Bmx collection off.

My '84 Skyway Ta.
It's a straight brake bridge model, with the standard length top-tube length.

G.t Pro bars,
Tuff II's,
The ultimate package as far as I'm concerned.

She did have set of 401,s on her for a while, but where I ride it, and give it abuse constantly it made sense for me to swap them over for a sweet Tioga tubular 1pc.
Which I must say, for me gives her the proper Old School feel.

This is the one bike out of my collection that draws constant comments and questions from admirers when I'm out on her.

Re: 1984 Skyway T/A

sweet skyway but not sure how much sense it makes to use tubular one piece cranks on a bike that you abuse

Re: 1984 Skyway T/A

Thanx lads big_smile

I'm still waiting for you to finish your T/a off Mark. Come on pull your finger out m8 tongue

There's no real sense in the tubular 1pc. I like them, I've had a few over the years with no issues.
The main reason though is because I'd rather use a crank I sourced for a tenner on a scoot that gets abused a bit, rather than an immaculate set of original 401 Flight Cranks that I was worried about damaging in any way.

Mark seems more than happy over my choice too wink
