My mid 80s BMX Freestyle collection (ongoing...)

Nothing fancy. Just a few favorite old and survivor BMX freestyle bikes in my stash.
Each month, a new favorite will be submitted. The collages are bikes from the Winter Build Off.

Enjoy and see you next month! wink

If you treat it as a stereo-gram, you should see some Trickstars and Peregrines. smile

Re: My mid 80s BMX Freestyle collection (ongoing...)

February 2010 features an 85 Haro Sport.   (1 of my 4 Smurfs. big_smile )

My high school buddy had a similar bike and this got me started in BMX.
Can't recall if he had an 85 or 86 but I'm positive on the color.
Found this a few years ago and got bit by the bug.   smile
It was only fitting that I took her to the 2008 Philly ride.

Re: My mid 80s BMX Freestyle collection (ongoing...)

June 2010 features an 87 Kuwahara Magician Expert. big_smile
Removed purple paint from the down tube, head tube, fork and brace stickers w/ GOOF OFF.
Pretty cool decals w/ square graphics. smile
Still fighting w/ the purple paint on the metal. tongue wink

I like the frame design even if it's a lower end Kuwahara model.
Twin top tubes, rear top standing platform and brace bar, etc... Besides, I only have one Kuwi. big_smile

Enjoy Grimace and c'ya in July. wink

Re: My mid 80s BMX Freestyle collection (ongoing...)

Thanks meandmydrz!

August 2010 features another SMURFY blue ...  87 Diamondback Strike Zone.
Not an 86 or 88 but right smack in the middle... an 87. smile
Pretty much OG and in dire need of a bath. lol
Some rust and scrapes and the usual stickers peeling but overall decent shape.
Worth blowing one Benjamin and some elbow grease. lol
