I got such a Batavus frame/fork back in 1982/83 in cologne and rode it for some month untill I got my GT race frame.

hey, bedankt voor je reactie op mijn bmx!
deze fiets komt hoogst waarschijnlijk niet uit 1982 maar uit 1979.

Re: 1979 Batavus

Cool bike. Why does the title just say "1979"? Shouldn't it say the year, company, model. like all the other museum postings?

WTB: Nothing, unless it's a real cheap local survivor score!

"BICYCLING DON'TS: Stunting, doing wheelies, or 'dirt biking' places stresses on bicycles far above design intentions.
Damage such as broken welds, bent forks, and 'flat spots' on rims will result" -- Breaking all the bicycling rules since 1977.

Re: 1979 Batavus

Very cool and robust Bike, i bought them ca. ´80 by Schlembach in Cologne/Germany (348.- DM). Double Tubes such as Haro Freestyler, but very very heavy frame and a rear hub with an includes brake. I remember, the first we changed were the rear wheel, 2nd the cranks, 3rd bars, 4 th forks.........I love it!
