Re: 1980 Free Spirit FS600
I had a blue and chrome one in 82. I think it was an fs1000 but I can't be sure. I was 8yrs old and took it off a big jump and as I was riding away from the landing the frame broke about 4 inches behind the head tube. I was going pretty fast and went down hard. The ramp was an old door stacked up on blocks about 3 1/2 feet tall. Just too much for the Free Spirit I guess. If I see a chrome one for sale I will probably have to buy it. HaHa
It's just not worth the effort.

Re: 1980 Free Spirit FS600
NICE!!! I had an 85 FS1000 which looked a lot like the FS600. My dad got it for me when my Team Murray X20R was stolen. I've been looking at auction sites trying to find a FS1000 to rebuild. Betting the parts will be impossible to find.

Very Nice, I had the exact same bike as a kid. I am currently restoring it. It held up very well over the years.
