1985 Haro Sport
1985 Haro Sport
needs some work
i just bought this (minus the tires) for $30
the lady who sold it to me, was cleaning out the garage, and had no idea what she had here. i'm going to restore it. i'm not sure if i'll try to go stock, or use some nos parts i like. i'll post a new picture when i'm done with it. anyone know where i can get a set of decals for this?

Re: 1985 Haro Sport
that threw me off too, but i think the bottom of the forks, and the rear dropouts/frame stands were crome on the 86s. there's a lot of non-stock stuff on it, so i think he must have swapped them out.

Re: 1985 Haro Sport
ooohhh.... I like this blue 85 Sport (full frame paint) way more than the white 86 Sport (rear chrome).
Can you imagine the Skinner's bar picture w/ (2) 85 blue Sports if you rode this in Philly? ![]()

Nonetheless, it was an honor for the Sport to be parked between the blue GT World Tour and the chrome Trickstar. ![]()

they're 85 forks. they just have 86 flip up standers on them. it's a late 85, so for me the question is, are the flip ups stock? was this bought as a f/f set? the make/model of the mags, and the seat are the only things on the list of stock parts.

Re: 1985 Haro Sport
yup looking back at this old thread is cool.. it does seem to be an 85 with miss matched pegs.. 86 had the chrome rear like someone said above... i would to like to see finished pics if it got restored..

Re: 1985 Haro Sport
i didn't refinish anything, but i did clean it and build it up. it has some different parts on it. (sorry, the mags are gone). right now, it has no stem, because i'm looking for the correct stem bolt for an anlun. when i get it back together, i'll post some pics
